The world outside my window was a smear of gray and green, the kind of muted palette that felt like a sigh. Thirty-two years. The number felt heavy, like a stone I carried in my gut. But the stone wasn’t just the years; it was the weight of all the things I hadn’t done, all the people I’d let down, all the moments I’d let slip through my fingers like grains of sand.
