Chapter 5

Embracing the Unbelievable

With Shirya by her side, Maggie begins to truly confront the reality of magic. Her detective mind races to reconcile the logical with the mystical, while Shirya patiently explains the nuances of ancient spells and the dangers of summoning primordial deities. They decipher the remaining clues, realizing Aktunaten's ritual is set to occur during a specific celestial alignment, leaving them with mere hours. Their quest takes them to a secret chamber beneath the Sphinx, where they uncover the final piece of the puzzle: a map detailing the ritual's focal points. Maggie, shedding her disbelief, starts to integrate magical principles into her investigative approach, her adaptability proving as valuable as any spell. The stakes are higher than ever, and the clock is ticking down to a potential apocalypse.
