Chapter 8
A Glimpse of the Sword
Through careful investigation and daring infiltration, Elara catches a fleeting glimpse of the Golden Sword, now held within a heavily fortified Syndicate stronghold. The stakes are raised.

Following the breadcrumbs of hushed conversations and furtive exchanges, Elara had finally pinpointed the Syndicate’s primary stronghold. It was a fortress, not of stone and mortar, but of shimmering energy fields and an impenetrable network of surveillance drones that hummed with a low, menacing thrum. The building itself seemed to absorb the ambient light, a monolithic obsidian structure that pulsed with a barely contained power.
