The air in the gymnasium was thick, not just with the usual scent of sweat and polished wood, but with an almost palpable tension. This was it. The regional semi-finals. The roar of the crowd was a tidal wave, crashing against the bleachers, a constant, thrumming reminder of what was at stake. He clapped his hands together, the sound sharp and decisive. "Alex, Mark, I need you two to be the anchors out there. Lead this team. But remember, it’s team. One unit. Understand?"
