Chapter 6
Castle Party Celebration
Whisper and Gnash host a grand party in Dark Manor, inviting all their friends. They perform their MASH song, filling the castle with laughter and rhythmic cheer, transforming their lonely home into a place of warm, unified celebration.
The grand hall of Dark Manor, usually a place of echoing silence and creeping shadows, thrummed with an entirely new kind of energy. It was a Saturday night, a most auspicious night in the world unknown, and Whisper and Gnash had decided it was time. Time to share their newfound joy, their MASH song, with everyone. Lanterns, fashioned from glow-worms and captured moonlight, cast a warm, flickering luminescence across the tapestries that depicted ancient, spectral battles and mischievous sprites. She hovered near the grand, oak doors, her form shimmering with a nervous energy. Beside her, Gnash, a solid mass of mossy green and grinning teeth, practically vibrated with anticipation. He’d polished his best bone buttons until they gleamed, and his tattered cloak, usually a bit too large, felt surprisingly snug and festive.
“Are you ready, Whisper?” Gnash boomed, his voice a rumbling echo that, for once, didn’t feel quite so overwhelming. He nudged her gently with a clawed finger, a gesture that had become as familiar and comforting as the creak of the manor’s ancient stairs.
