George Learns to Share

George loved his new tangerine dump truck. He brought it to the park to play with his special stones. Lily, a girl with bouncy pigtails, asked, "Can I use your truck?"

George frowned. "No," he said. "It's mine, and I'm using it." Lily looked sad and went to play alone.

George played with his truck, but it wasn't much fun by himself. He remembered how Leo and Maya had wanted to play with his race car yesterday, and he had said no. He had raced his car alone, and it wasn't exciting.

Now, watching Lily play alone, George felt a little sad. He realized playing together was more fun. He walked over to Lily with his truck. "Do you still want to move those blue pebbles?" he asked.

Lily's face lit up! "Yes, please!" she said. George let her drive the truck first. She was very careful. George smiled. It was more fun watching Lily play with his truck than playing alone!

They started building a giant sandcastle together. George asked Lily, "Can you dig near the big rock?" Lily said, "Sure, Foreman George!" They took turns digging, loading, and driving the truck.

Soon, a boy named Sam came over. George invited him to help too! "Do you want to help gather stones?" George asked. Sam said, "Yes!" Lily added, "But we have to share the truck!" Sam agreed.

George, Lily, and Sam worked together, laughing and building. George realized sharing his truck made playtime even more fun. It wasn't just one person playing; it was three!

When it was time to go home, Lily said, "Thanks for letting me use your awesome truck, George!" George said, "Next time, we can build a bridge!"

George told his mom, "When I share, it's like having fun three times over!" His mom smiled and said, "Sharing is caring, George. And caring makes things nicer for everyone." George felt happy knowing that sharing made playtime the best.
