Chapter 4
Chapter 4: The Hollow Below
Samira falls into a dark tunnel beneath the church. Following the hum and whispers, she discovers a chamber with a glowing symbol and a strange object. The creatures pursue her. She escapes back to the surface, reuniting with the group, only to find a new threat waiting outside.
Samira hit the ground hard, the breath knocked out of her. Dirt and stones rained down from above. She lay there for a moment, trying to make sense of the dark. The hum was louder here, a thrum that vibrated through her bones. The whispers were clearer too, like many voices speaking just out of reach.

Her hands found a wall—rough, damp stone. She followed it, one hand trailing along the surface. The whispers grew louder as she moved, pulling her forward. A faint blue glow appeared ahead, seeping from a crack in the wall. She pressed her eye to it. Beyond was a larger chamber, the floor carved with the same symbol she had seen upstairs—the circle with the eye. But this one was bigger, and it pulsed with light.
