Chapter 6
The Light Within
Understanding dawns: Elara's inner light isn't just hers alone, but a shared gift. She sees this light mirrored in the faces of those around her.
Elara sat by the window, watching the dust motes dance in the slivers of sunlight that pierced through the ancient oak leaves outside. It had been a few days since she’d felt that comforting warmth, that gentle whisper that had soothed her worries. Now, a different kind of light was dawning within her, a light that felt less like a gentle glow and more like a bright, clear understanding. It was like the sun finally breaking through a thick fog, illuminating everything that had been hidden.
She remembered the words she had heard, or perhaps felt, in that quiet moment. *El Shaddai. The Almighty.* The name had resonated deep within her, a powerful echo of love and strength. It wasn’t just a name; it was a promise. A promise that she was never truly alone, that there was a love so vast it could hold all her questions, all her fears, and all her doubts without ever letting her fall. This was the love that El Shaddai offered, a love that was as constant as the sun rising each morning.
And then there was the other part, the part that had felt almost too wonderful to be true. Jesus Christ, the kind teacher, had spoken of being the ‘Light of the World.’ Elara had always thought of that as something special, something only He could be. But now, as she looked at her own reflection in the windowpane, she saw something else. A faint shimmer, a spark, a tiny ember that had been there all along, waiting to be fanned into a flame.
