The rubble of my old life lay scattered, a stark landscape against the burgeoning dawn. It wasn't a sudden demolition, but a slow, agonizing crumble, each piece of the façade I’d so carefully constructed falling away until only the raw, exposed earth remained. But now, in the quiet aftermath, a different kind of construction was beginning. It wasn’t the frantic, outward-facing building of a fortress to keep others out, or a gilded cage to impress them. This was a quiet, internal rebuilding, brick by painstaking brick, of something strong and true, something that was entirely mine.

My days, once dictated by the chaotic demands of addiction and the suffocating grip of a manipulative love, now unfolded with a gentle rhythm. It was a rhythm I was learning to set myself, a melody composed of intentional choices. The first, and perhaps most crucial, was the conscious effort to weave healthy relationships into the fabric of my existence.
