The garden stretched out around them, soft and silver-white, each flower glowing with a gentle light. The ash had vanished, replaced by cool grass that seemed to hum with a low, peaceful note. Eddie sat cross-legged on the ground, running his fingers over the petals of a nearby bloom. It felt real—warm and alive, like something that had been waiting a long time to grow.
Zara lay on her back nearby, staring up at the sky that had appeared above them—a soft lavender dusk dotted with stars that twinkled like distant candles. Anya stood a few paces away, examining a crystal formation that had turned clear and smooth, no longer jagged or menacing. Kairos sat apart, their eyes closed, their breathing slow and even.
A warm breeze stirred the flowers, carrying a scent like honey and rain. Eddie took a deep breath and let it out slowly.
