Chapter 31
Sunflower Strength
Sunflower Strength
1 min read
I grew my stem where hard winds like to blow, thick and tough so nothing brings me low. No one to lean on when the days are long — I dig deep roots to make myself belong. I turn my face to catch each ray I can, shine bright gold so my little ones can stand. My strength is quiet, woven from the pain, rising tall through sun and storm and rain. They see the bloom, not all the work below, how hard I fight to keep our love aglow. But deep inside, my courage never ends — sunflower strength, on which my world depends.
