Chapter 24
Outgrowing Old Shadows
Shadows from yesterday still stretch their length, but I outgrow them with my daily strength. My head rises higher than the dark can reach, learning to bloom where peace and courage teach. The past stays there, but I have moved ahead — sun‑lit and bright, no longer filled with dread.
The past, a tapestry of grey, still casts its length across my day. Familiar shapes of doubt and fear, whisper echoes I once held dear. But I am taller than I was, my stem now leans on my own cause. Each upward reach, a victory won, outgrowing shadows, facing sun. My head lifts higher than the gloom, a testament to hopeful bloom. The lessons learned, the paths I've trod, now pave the way to peace with God. The old terrain, it fades from view, as I embrace the bright and new. No longer bound by yesterday, I bloom anew, and lead the way.
