Chapter 21
Roots That Do Not Break
When storms pull hard and try to shake my ground, my tangled roots hold firm and wrap around — every mistake, every sorrow, every fear, turned into anchor, keeping me right here. I do not run when pressure digs deep down; I grow more steady, more alive, more strong, more brown.
When storms shake hard and shadows stretch long,
my deep roots hold and make me strong.
I love in quiet, carry weight with grace,
and outgrow every dark and lonely place.
Patient through rain, bright after the gale,
I build my own safe, warm, golden vale —
soft at the heart, guarded and free,
singing my sunflower song for me.
From night to dawn I rise anew,
blooming bright — for them, and for you.
