Another, a grizzled hunter with a past etched onto his weathered face, claimed to have glimpsed her near the ruins of the old Maseka outpost, a place I knew Tariro would never willingly go. Each lead, glittering with the promise of her presence, dissolved into dust the moment I pursued it. It was a cruel game, played by a master of deception, and I, the heartbroken prince, was merely a pawn.
