Chapter 19
Amazement and Admiration
The town gathers. Sarah is stunned by the transformation. Old Man Roney smiles, a knowing look in his eyes. Troy’s dream, once whispered in the woods, now roars to life, amazing everyone.
The air in the town square, usually alive with the hum of daily errands and familiar greetings, crackled with an unusual electricity. Troy guided the Ford F150 into the square with a slow, deliberate grace. The old truck, once a forgotten hulk swallowed by the wilderness, now gleamed under the midday sun. Sarah Jenkins was there, leaning against the familiar brick wall of the general store, her arms crossed, a flicker of disbelief warring with something softer in her eyes. She’d seen Troy’s dedication, his grease-stained hands, the late nights spent under the glow of a bare bulb in his makeshift workshop. But to see it like this… it was something else entirely.
