The air above the village, once thick with the sweet perfume of a thousand blossoms, now carried a more subdued fragrance, a delicate sigh that whispered of loss. Yet, within that whisper, a new melody was beginning to weave its way, a gentle hum that resonated from the heart of the tower itself. Elara, her fingers still dusted with the soil of her recent efforts, felt it first. It was a subtle vibration, a thrumming beneath the earth that seemed to echo the quickening beat of her own heart. The flowers, oh, the flowers! They were responding.

The first blush of returning color was almost imperceptible, like a secret shared between the dawn and the dew. The Whispering Wind, no longer a mournful lament, swirled around her with a playful dance, carrying the scent of freshly turned earth and the distant laughter of children. It tugged at her braid, a familiar, comforting embrace. She remembered Elder Maeve’s words, spoken with a quiet certainty that had settled a storm in Elara’s own anxious breast: "The land remembers, child. And it forgives. It simply needs to be reminded of joy."
