The air thrummed with a joyous energy, a stark contrast to the recent shadows that had threatened their home. Sunlight, dappled and warm, spilled through the cavern entrance, illuminating a scene of pure, unadulterated celebration. The Mother Dragon had declared it a hatching feast, a celebration not just of their survival, but of the future embodied in these seven precious lives. The Father Dragon, his presence a comforting anchor, had taken charge of the hunt, returning with plump, fire-roasted mountain goats and a bounty of glistening river fish. The aroma of roasted meat mingled with the sweet scent of blooming mountain herbs, creating a feast fit for any royal court, let alone a dragon family.
