The air in the chamber crackled, not with static, but with something far more ancient and potent. Kaelen’s breath hitched as the artifact, humming with a soft, internal light, pulsed in his hand. The holographic map unfurled, not of continents and oceans, but of intricate pathways, pulsing nodes, and shimmering architecture that defied earthly logic. Lyra, her eyes wide with a mixture of awe and trepidation, traced a finger over a particularly dense cluster of these digital constellations. "It's... it's like a blueprint," she whispered, her voice barely audible above the artifact's resonant thrum. "But not for a city, or a machine. For… everything."

Shadows, impossibly deep and sharp, began to coalesce in the corners of the chamber. Kaelen’s grip tightened on the artifact, his knuckles white. His recurring dream – the one of the shimmering, geometric landscape, of vast, silent structures – flashed through his mind, intensified by the strange energy now filling the space.
