The sting of the first fall was a cold, sharp thing that settled deep in my bones. The numbers swam before my eyes, a chaotic dance of red and green that mocked my naive attempts at control. Loneliness, that familiar, unwelcome guest, tightened its grip, whispering insidious doubts. Had I been foolish? Was this whole trading endeavor just another elaborate way to escape the quiet reality of my apartment, the echoing silence that stretched from morning till night? The temptation to retreat, to bury the trading app and pretend it never happened, was almost overwhelming. But something stubborn, a tiny ember of defiance, refused to be extinguished. It was the same flicker that had made me pore over intricate patterns in nature as a child, the same quiet insistence that there was an order, a logic, to be found, even in the messiest of things.

Instead of shutting it all down, I did the opposite. I leaned in. The digital world, once a source of overwhelming noise, became my sanctuary. My laptop screen glowed late into the night, a beacon in the otherwise dim room. Books, thick and daunting, began to stack on my small coffee table. Their spines, once intimidating, now held the promise of answers, of a map through this bewildering financial wilderness. I devoured titles like "Technical Analysis for Dummies," "The Psychology of Trading," and "Candlesticks: A Visual Guide." Each page turned was a small act of rebellion against the feeling of helplessness that had threatened to consume me.
