Chapter 5
The Song of Creation
Enoch uses his vibrant imagination to craft a new, beautiful song. This melody calms the lonely shadow creature, reminding it of its original, creative purpose.
Enoch stood in the heart of the Before Place, the air thrumming with an energy that felt both ancient and brand new. Around him, wisps of unformed ideas swirled like dandelion fluff caught in a gentle breeze. The Wise Spirit, a beacon of soft, pearly light, hovered beside him, its presence a comforting warmth against the strange, ethereal landscape. The mischievous Shadow Creature, a swirling mass of deepest indigo, pulsed with a restless energy, its tendrils of darkness reaching out, subtly dimming the nascent colors that flickered into existence around them.
"It is lonely, little one," the Wise Spirit's voice echoed, not in Enoch's ears, but directly in his mind, like a thought that had always been there. "So much of this place is born from forgotten dreams, from whispers that faded before they could take shape. The Shadow Creature… it is the echo of a thought that was never fully remembered, a purpose left unfulfilled."
Enoch watched as a patch of sky, moments before a delicate rose blush, dulled to a muted grey as the Shadow Creature drifted near. A pang of sadness, sharp and unexpected, pierced his heart. He understood. The creature wasn't evil; it was just… lost. Like a forgotten toy left in the attic, yearning for a hand to pick it up.
