The air in the abandoned warehouse hung thick with the scent of rust and forgotten things. Dust motes danced in the slivers of light that pierced the grimy windows, illuminating the weary faces of Marianne, Adrian, and Gordon. Erica Robinson, however, stood with an unshakeable stillness that belied the tension coiled in the room. Her Steel element magic radiated from her like a silent, tempered shield, a stark contrast to Marianne’s nervous, flickering inner heat.

"You are all too raw," Erica stated, her voice a low hum, like the vibration of a perfectly struck tuning fork. She turned her gaze, sharp and assessing, from Marianne to Adrian, then to Gordon. "Your powers are like untamed beasts, beautiful in their potential, but dangerous in their uncontrolled fury."

Marianne fidgeted, her fingers instinctively reaching for the worn leather bracer on her wrist. She could feel the heat building within her, a restless energy that threatened to spill over. "We're trying, Erica. It's just… it's not like learning to tie your shoes. This is… everything."
