Maya watched Mario from across the bustling office floor, a faint smirk playing on her lips. He was currently engaged in a spirited debate with Mr. Henderson about quarterly projections, his usual boisterous laugh echoing even over the din of keyboards and ringing phones. He was a force of nature, Mario, a whirlwind of charm and humor, and Maya found herself utterly captivated. He was also, she noted with a familiar pang, still rather… substantial. Much like herself.
