The sun peeked its golden head over the tallest trees, casting a warm glow on the little schoolhouse nestled amongst the rolling hills. Inside, a flurry of happy activity was already underway. This was Sunny Meadow School, a place buzzing with the laughter and chatter of its youngest students. And at the heart of it all, with a mane the color of warm honey and eyes that sparkled with mischief and kindness, was Lalito.

Lalito wasn't just any lion cub; he was the most energetic, the most eager, and sometimes, the most delightfully clumsy cub in Ms. Bear's class. He loved school with all his might. He loved the colorful alphabet charts that lined the walls, the shelves overflowing with picture books, and especially, he loved his friends.

There was Leo, a bright-eyed monkey with a knack for building anything you could imagine, from wobbly towers to magnificent bridges. And Mia, a gentle deer with a heart as soft as her velvet ears, always ready with a comforting word or a helping hand. They were his best pals, and together, there wasn't a game they couldn't invent or a puzzle they couldn't solve.

"Good morning, everyone!" boomed Ms. Bear, her voice as warm and comforting as a thick blanket. She was a large, motherly bear with spectacles perched on her nose and a smile that could melt even the grumpiest of mornings. "Today is a brand new day, full of wonderful things to learn and discover!"

Lalito bounced in his seat, his tail giving a little wag of excitement. "Good morning, Ms. Bear!" he roared, his voice a little too loud, as usual. He quickly covered his mouth with a paw, a sheepish grin spreading across his face.

Ms. Bear chuckled, her eyes twinkling. "That's the spirit, Lalito! We have a fun morning planned. First, we'll be learning about the different shapes that make up our world. Can anyone tell me what shape a ball is?"

A chorus of little voices erupted. "Round!" "Circle!" "Like the sun!"

Lalito eagerly waved his paw. "A circle, Ms. Bear! Like my favorite bouncy ball!"

The lesson continued, filled with colorful blocks shaped like squares and triangles, and songs about circles and stars. Lalito loved learning. He loved how his brain felt like it was growing bigger and bigger with all the new information. He listened intently, his ears perked, and sometimes, he'd even offer a helpful suggestion, though it sometimes came out as a bit of a rumble.

After the morning lesson, it was time for playtime. The children scurried to the corner of the classroom where a large pile of wooden blocks waited. Leo, ever the architect, immediately started gathering the biggest blocks. "Let's build a super-duper tall tower!" he chirped, his nimble fingers already arranging the base.

Mia joined him, carefully selecting smaller blocks to add to the structure. "We need a strong foundation, Leo," she said thoughtfully, placing a square block just so.

Lalito, bursting with energy, couldn't wait to contribute. He loved building, but he also loved the *feeling* of building, the thud of blocks connecting, the satisfying wobble as the tower grew higher. He grabbed a handful of blocks, his eyes fixed on the rapidly ascending structure. He imagined a magnificent castle, with turrets and flags.

"I'll add the roof!" Lalito declared, his voice full of enthusiasm. He bounded towards the tower, a particularly large, flat block held ready. In his excitement, he didn't quite see how precariously Leo and Mia had balanced the last few pieces. He was so focused on his grand idea, on adding his special touch, that he forgot for just a moment to be careful.

With a clumsy lunge, Lalito brought his block down. Instead of landing gently on top, it struck the side of the tower with a loud *THWACK!*

The carefully constructed tower swayed, then groaned, and with a cascade of clattering wood, it tumbled down. Blocks scattered everywhere, a chaotic mess of shapes and sizes.

Silence fell over the play area. Leo stared, his jaw hanging open, his bright eyes wide with disbelief. Mia gasped, her ears drooping slightly. Lalito froze, the block still in his paws, his own eyes widening as he took in the scene.

The happy buzz of playtime was replaced by a heavy, uncomfortable quiet. Lalito’s heart sank. He saw the disappointment on Leo’s face, the hurt in Mia’s usually cheerful eyes. He hadn't meant for this to happen. He just wanted to help! He just wanted to add the roof! But his excitement had gotten the better of him, and now, their beautiful tower was broken. A lump formed in his throat, and a flush of embarrassment crept up his furry cheeks. He felt a prickle of tears forming at the corners of his eyes. He had ruined it. He had ruined their fun. He looked down at the scattered blocks, then at his friends, feeling a knot of sadness tighten in his tummy. This wasn't how he wanted his wonderful school day to go.
