The air in Lyra’s sanctuary hummed with an energy that was both ancient and alive, a stark contrast to the usual stillness of my nights. Xime stood beside me, his presence a familiar heat against my skin, a constant reminder of the sun that was both his nature and our shared predicament. Lyra, her eyes like chips of obsidian studying the patterns of the cosmos, gestured towards a worn, leather-bound tome resting on a pedestal.
