The air grew thick, not with the scent of pine or damp earth, but with something ancient and heavy, like dust disturbed from a tomb undisturbed for millennia. Elara walked, his worn boots crunching on a path that seemed to appear only as he trod upon it, a faint luminescence guiding his way. The Whispering Woods had given way to a silence so profound it felt like a physical pressure against his eardrums. You are the key, the conduit, the one who will awaken it. Your power, once dormant, will sing to its own, and the world will be reborn." Reborn. The word tasted like ash in his mouth. He had seen the destructive potential of his own uncontrolled bursts of energy, the way the very air had seemed to warp and crackle. What would happen when he was tasked with awakening something unimaginably vast, something that had been forgotten for so long it had become myth?
