The Odyssey hung in space, not the familiar, star-dusted black they knew, but a space that felt… softer. The nebulae they had navigated, the ancient, skeletal remains of the megastructure, were gone. Replaced by a sky that pulsed with a gentle, unfamiliar luminescence, a tapestry woven from threads of emerald and amethyst.

Aris Thorne was the first to stir, his body humming with a residual energy that felt both exhilarating and terrifying. He blinked, his eyes struggling to adjust to the strange light, and found himself staring at the main viewscreen. It displayed nothing but that ethereal, shifting sky. Beside him, Eva Rostova, her knuckles white where she gripped the command chair, was already assessing their situation. Her usual steely composure was frayed, a thin tremor in her voice as she addressed the bridge.
