For thirst have hard sour candy ,for sugar emergency have hard sweet candy. Always keep face ,arms,eyes ,legs covered and wear proper hiking footwear Always have a snake / spider bite kit. Ideally travel with more than 1 other person...Have someone in Your group know CPR and First Aid.
