The yellow walls seemed to pulse, a sickly, soft luminescence that offered no comfort, only a constant, low-grade thrumming that vibrated deep within Zack’s bones. He was in Level Five now, a place that felt less like a distinct new zone and more like an amplification of the oppressive atmosphere he’d been breathing for what felt like an eternity. The air itself was thick, heavy with an unseen weight, and with every ragged breath Zack took, he felt a growing certainty that he was not alone.

It wasn't the skittering sounds or the guttural whispers that confirmed it this time. It was a palpable sensation, a prickling on his skin, the unnerving feeling of being observed. The Watcher. He’d felt its influence before, a subtle pressure, a sense that unseen eyes were cataloging his every faltering step. But here, in Level Five, the observance had intensified, sharpening into a predatory focus. He could almost feel the phantom weight of its gaze tracing the contours of his body, dissecting his movements, waiting. Waiting for what? A mistake? A moment of panic?

Zack pressed himself against the cool, slightly damp yellow wall, his heart hammering against his ribs like a trapped bird. He squeezed his eyes shut, trying to banish the insidious feeling, to reclaim some semblance of control. *It’s just a feeling,* he told himself, the words a desperate mantra against the rising tide of unease. *It’s all in my head. The Architect’s illusions, the Watcher’s tricks. They want me to break.*
