Ash stirred her lukewarm latte, the spoon clinking against the ceramic mug like a tiny, desperate bell. She’d been meticulously planning the next phase of her revenge, a carefully orchestrated series of events designed to dismantle Andrew and Jessica’s carefully constructed world, brick by humiliating brick. But something was gnawing at her, a persistent itch beneath the surface of her righteous anger. It wasn’t just about the cheating; it was the sheer audacity of it, the casual disregard for her feelings, for their shared history.

Her new ally, a whirlwind of mismatched socks and questionable fashion choices named Finn, sat opposite her, sketching furiously in a worn notebook. Finn had a knack for seeing the absurd in everything, a trait Ash found both terrifying and exhilarating. They’d met at a particularly disastrous open mic night where Ash, still reeling from the initial betrayal, had inexplicably ended up reciting a limerick about a cheating hamster. Finn, apparently a connoisseur of public humiliation, had been her only audience member who hadn't looked away in pity.

"So," Finn said, not looking up from their drawing, which appeared to be a squirrel wearing a tiny monocle. "The grand unveiling of Andrew's questionable hygiene habits. Are we talking glitter bomb in his gym bag, or something more… aromatic?"
