Stephen and Crimson investigate The Architect, their suspicions growing. They uncover fragments of a hidden agenda, realizing the true extent of the manipulation.
The air in the abandoned warehouse hung thick with the scent of rust and decay, a fitting tomb for secrets. Stephen ran a hand over a grimy metal beam, the grit clinging to his fingertips a tangible reminder of their current pursuit. Crimson, ever the impatient force, paced the length of the cavernous space, his shadow stretching and contorting in the weak beams of light filtering through the broken roof.
"Anything?" Crimson's voice was a low growl, laced with an edge of frustration that Stephen knew all too well. It was the same edge that had been sharpening since they’d first glimpsed the Architect’s machinations, since they’d realized their newfound gifts weren't entirely their own.
"Just dust and shadows, Crimson," Stephen replied, his own voice carefully measured. He felt the familiar thrum of telekinetic energy beneath his skin, a constant hum that had grown louder with each passing day, each whispered manipulation. He could feel the weight of the decaying structure around them, the subtle shifts of air currents, the very pulse of the city outside. It was a symphony he was only beginning to understand, a symphony the Architect seemed to conduct.
