Rolling Rock Rumble

A perilous path involves navigating giant, rolling rocks. The friends must use quick thinking and teamwork to avoid being squashed.

The air grew thin and the ground beneath Dino’s feet shifted. Gone were the soft, mossy paths of the jungle, replaced by a jumble of colossal stones, some as large as houses, others like mountains themselves. They seemed to be perched precariously, waiting for the slightest nudge to send them tumbling. Pippy, usually so buoyant, hovered closer to Dino, her wings beating a nervous rhythm. Spike, ever the optimist, peered over a particularly enormous boulder, his plates bristling with a mixture of awe and trepidation.

“Whoa,” Spike rumbled, his voice a low vibration that echoed off the stone. “These are some seriously big pebbles, Dino. Think they’re for skipping?”

Dino let out a nervous chuckle, his tail giving a little twitch. “I don’t think anyone’s skipping these, Spike. Not unless they want to be skipped themselves.” He nudged a smaller stone with his snout, and it rolled a few inches with a grating sound that made his teeth ache. “This path looks… wobbly.”
