Crystal Cave Glow

The air within the jungle grew thick and humid, the canopy above a dense, emerald ceiling that filtered the sunlight into dappled patterns on the forest floor. Dino, his keen eyes scanning the undergrowth for any sign of a path, felt a prickle of excitement mingled with a shiver of the unknown. Pippy, her wings a blur of motion, circled overhead, her delighted squawks echoing through the trees. Spike, his armored plates glinting, trotted along beside Dino, his heavy tail swishing with a rhythmic thump. They had left the familiar rustle of the jungle behind, venturing into a part of their world that felt… different.

“Are you sure this is the way, Dino?” Spike’s voice rumbled, a hint of nervousness lacing its usual cheerful tone. He’d nearly tripped over a particularly gnarled root just moments before, his legs tangling like overgrown vines. “It’s getting awfully… dark.”

Dino tilted his head, his powerful snout twitching. “The old tales said the path to Rainbow Valley was hidden, Spike. And sometimes, hidden things are found in the shadows.” He paused, listening. A faint, almost musical dripping sound reached his ears. “Hear that? It sounds like water, but… different.”
