Chapter 17
Spike's Resilient Steps

Spike let out a gusty sigh, his broad snout twitching. "Almost is the operative word, Pippy, my aerial acrobat. Almost." He carefully nudged a stray tendril of the offending flora with his nose, a faint tremor running through his sturdy legs. "These little guys have a way of grabbing onto a fellow’s toes, don't they?"
