Chapter 5

Echoes of Success: Digital Discipleship in Action

This chapter brings Pastor Samuel's story and others like it to life. We'll journey back to his community, seeing how his digital outreach has not only sustained his ministry financially through online tithes and offerings but has also expanded his influence beyond his physical church walls. We'll meet Sister Agnes, a former congregant who, due to illness, could no longer attend services but found renewed spiritual connection through the church's active WhatsApp group and online prayer meetings. We'll also introduce another pastor who uses a simple blog to share daily devotional thoughts, attracting a younger demographic and fostering dialogue. These are not abstract theories; they are tangible results, showcasing increased engagement, broader reach, and the emergence of sustainable income streams, proving the concept's viability.

He waved, his hand a blur of motion, and I parked, eager to step out and feel the warmth of his welcome.

“Brother Wabba! It is good to see you again!” he exclaimed, his voice hearty as he met me with a firm handshake. “You arrive at a good time. We are making good progress.”
