The air thrummed with a primal energy, a symphony of growls and snarls that echoed the tempest raging within Kaelen. Lyra stood beside him, a beacon of unwavering resolve, her hand a steady anchor against his vibrating arm. Silas, a hulking brute of a wolf, bared his teeth, saliva dripping from his jaws like venom. He fought to keep it in check, to channel it into something precise, something deadly. He met Silas’s predatory gaze, his own eyes burning with a fierce, unwavering love. “You will not touch her, Silas. Not ever.”
