Chapter 8
A Personal Paradox
The prophecy’s threads begin to entwine with Da PrEAChEr's own life. The stakes escalate as destiny's rhyme starts to resonate within his personal narrative.

Da PrEAChEr, his coat a tapestry of faded blues and improbable purples, leaned against a graffiti-scarred brick wall. The scent of damp concrete and something faintly metallic, like old coins, clung to him. He wasn’t praying, not in the way most understood. He pushed off the wall, his movements fluid, almost liquid. A shimmer, barely perceptible, seemed to ripple around him. It was as if the very air adjusted its density to accommodate his presence. He’d been speaking in rhyme for years, a constant, intricate stream of verse that painted the world in a unique hue. People rarely understood, not fully. They’d nod, or smile, or dismiss him as an eccentric street poet. But a select few, those attuned to the subtle frequencies of fate, heard the whispers of prophecy in his every syllable.
