Chapter 9

The Black Rose

At the scene of the second murder, Detective Miller makes a peculiar discovery: a single, perfectly preserved black rose, placed deliberately on the victim. This unusual calling card, so out of place amidst the violence, deeply unsettles the hardened detective. It speaks of a killer with a twisted sense of artistry or symbolism, far beyond a simple act of rage. Miller begins to suspect this perpetrator is not just a random psychopath but someone with a calculated, perhaps even personal, agenda. The black rose becomes a chilling emblem of the killer's presence, a stark contrast to the brutality.
