Chapter 13

The Price of Light and Dark Inclinations

The confrontation reaches its brutal climax. Dark faces a devastating choice: uphold his duty to the Church and destroy the ritual, potentially harming or condemning whomever Talia has become, or attempt to save his sister, risking the unraveling of the ceremony and the escape of a powerful evil. His 'evil adjacent' nature surfaces as he grapples with this impossible decision. The moral ambiguity he usually navigates with a sardonic shrug is now a crushing weight. The choice he makes will define not only the mission but also the man he is, pushing him further into the morally grey territory he calls home.
