A Pack of Temptations
Bishop's already complicated mission takes a decidedly personal turn when Grimm's twin daughters, Ember and Amber, make their presence known. They are as alluring as they are bold, their intentions towards Bishop undisguised. Their playful, yet intense, pursuit adds a volatile layer to the already tense atmosphere. Bishop, ever the man of excess, finds himself both intrigued and annoyed by their advances, recognizing the potential for significant distraction. He must navigate their seductive games while keeping his focus on the true threat, a task made infinitely more difficult by their twin charms.
Bishop Dark’s arrival in Whisper had been met with a mixture of fear and desperate hope, the latter quickly curdling into something more akin to weary resignation. The Church of Radiant Light had sent him, and while his reputation preceded him like a foul odor, so too did his effectiveness. He was the blunt instrument they deployed when diplomacy had failed and subtlety was a forgotten art. And Whisper, a village nestled precariously close to the shadowed embrace of the Blackwood, had a problem that required a very blunt instrument indeed: werewolves.
He’d found the pack, led by a hulking brute named Grimm, more… reasonable than expected. They weren’t the mindless monsters the terrified villagers painted them as. There was a logic to their actions, a desperate defense rather than outright aggression. Grimm, for his part, was no simple savage. He was an alpha, yes, with the primal authority to match, but also a keen mind, and a protective fury that spoke of a deeper, more complex truth. An unlikely accord, as the Abbot might have put it, had been struck. Bishop had agreed to investigate the real source of the trouble, and Grimm had agreed to stand down, provided Bishop didn’t go full holy warrior on his entire bloodline.
This newfound truce, however, was about to be tested by a force more potent than any demonic horde: the twin temptations of Grimm’s daughters.
