The whispers started as a low hum, a vibration felt deep in my bone marrow, before they coalesced into words, sharp and cold as fractured ice. I knew them all, every secret, every hidden truth that coiled beneath the polished veneer of this world. It was a glimpse into the heart of the machine, a testament to the rot that had set in.
