The PrEAChEr found himself adrift, not in water, but in a sea of pure, unadulterated awareness. The silence he had so diligently cultivated in his mind had blossomed into a vast, echoing expanse, a cathedral of nothingness where even his own thoughts seemed to dissipate like smoke. He had sought the edge of existence, the place where the mind ceased to be a cage and became a gateway, and in his reckless pursuit, he had stumbled through. But the promised land of higher consciousness felt less like a sanctuary and more like an infinite, bewildering void.
His eyes, though open, saw nothing of the familiar. Instead, they registered a kaleidoscope of shifting hues, not cast by any sun or moon, but originating from within the very fabric of this non-place. Shapes coalesced and dissolved, not solid forms, but suggestions of them, like dreams half-remembered upon waking. He felt the weight of his own being, a single, solitary point in an ocean of boundless potential, yet he was utterly without compass or map. His breath, a steady rhythm in his earthly life, now felt like a hesitant whisper against the immensity of this new reality.
“Where am I?” he finally breathed, his voice a fragile thread in the vastness. “What is this place, so grand, so vast, so bare?”
