The neutral beige walls seemed to recede, giving way to an oppressive darkness that writhed at the edges of vision. This was it, then. The ritual.

Jax, his usual swagger replaced by a grim resolve, hefted his custom Barret, the polished metal catching the faint, sickly light. Beside him, Anya’s intricate, bioluminescent markings pulsed with an anxious rhythm. Kai, ever stoic, held his twin blades, their edges sharp enough to sever reality itself. Even the usually boisterous Rook had fallen into a tense silence, his gaze fixed on the swirling vortex that had begun to coalesce at the center of the chamber.

Crimson Silk felt the familiar weight of her own attire, the crimson silk of her moniker now woven with threads that seemed to absorb the very shadows around them. It was a dangerous beauty, a reflection of the path she walked. Her own face, usually a mask of practiced calm, was etched with a grim determination. The Weaver’s betrayal had been a physical blow, but this… this was an existential threat. The whispers of the Shadowed Mastermind, once distant portents, were now a tangible force, pressing in on them.
