Episode 41

Why was the Mother of Prince Mihnea Cel 6 sent to a convent

The air in the convent hung thick with the scent of beeswax and old parchment, a cloying perfume that did little to mask the underlying chill. It was a place designed for quiet contemplation, for the shedding of worldly cares, but for her, it was a gilded cage. The stone walls, cool and unyielding, pressed in, mirroring the suffocating weight in her chest. They offered prayers and gentle admonishments, their words a constant reminder of her supposed transgressions. She saw the pity in some of their gazes, the judgment in others. But no one truly understood the ache that resided deep within her, the longing for the warmth of a hand, the sound of a familiar voice.
