Chapter 7
A Glimmer of Alliance
Hiding in the underbelly of the supernatural world, a place where shadows hold secrets and deals are struck in hushed tones, Issac and Jeff encounter Seraphina Dubois. She is an enigma, a woman with eyes that have seen too much and a smile that promises danger. Seraphina possesses a deep knowledge of vampire lore and the intricacies of blood debts. She offers cryptic advice, hinting at a path forward, a way to perhaps exploit a loophole in Victoria's ancient code. But her intentions are unclear, her motives shrouded in mystery. “She said she would,” I replied, my own voice rough. I ran a hand over my face, the stubble scraping against my palm. “Seraphina Dubois. Sounds like a character from a bad gothic novel, doesn’t she?”
