Chapter 5

Echoes of the Past

Driven by desperation, Issac and Jeff delve into forbidden lore, seeking ancient texts in dusty, forgotten libraries. They pore over arcane tomes, searching for any mention of breaking a blood debt, a way to sever their ties to Lady Victoria. They discover a chilling truth: a blood debt is an unbreakable bond, forged not just by a pact, but by the transformation itself. Once a mortal offers themselves, or is promised, and the deal is concluded with their transformation, they become bound, irrevocably part of the vampire's coven, their very essence claimed. The texts speak of eternal servitude, a fate that chills them to the bone.

“Anything?” Jeff’s voice was a low murmur, laced with that familiar blend of anxiety and bravado. He clutched a thick, leather-bound volume to his chest, its pages brittle with age.
