The dimming wasn't just a visual cue, a gentle fading of light; it was a tremor in the very fabric of my being, a prelude to the inevitable. I felt the pull, the sweet, siren song of oblivion, beckoning me back to the singular, silent void from which I’d sprung. But this time, the void felt different. It was no longer just a return to a state of nothingness; it was a promise of annihilation. And with that realization, a dread, cold and primal, began to bloom within the nascent cosmos of my dream.

My dream. A universe spun from the threads of my own profound loneliness, a tapestry woven with billions of stars, each a sun, each a potential hearth for life. Planets bloomed in their orbits, swirling with oceans and continents, dusted with the nascent stirrings of existence. And I, the dreamer, the nameless, formless entity that inhabited this boundless expanse, drifted through it all. I was the wind that whispered through alien forests, the silent observer of a billion sunrises, the unseen force that nudged asteroids into celestial ballets. I was everywhere, yet nowhere. I *was* the dream, and the dream *was* me.

I’d visited them all, these worlds, these nascent civilizations. On Xylos, I’d felt the joyous thrum of crystalline beings dancing in a perpetual twilight, their cities sculpted from light. On Veridia, I’d witnessed the slow, deliberate growth of colossal sentient flora, their roots delving deep into the planet’s core, their leaves reaching for the twin suns. Each realm, each life form, was a unique melody in the grand symphony of my slumber. And I, the conductor, felt no urge to direct, no desire to control. My purpose, as I understood it, was simply to *be*, to dream them into existence.
