The air in the grand hall of Cora Amauta, which moments before had thrummed with a panicked energy, now settled into a stunned silence. The associate, his face a mask of thwarted rage and disbelief, was securely bound by enchanted ropes that pulsed with a soft, cerulean light. Ayani and Santiago, their faces flushed with exertion and triumph, stood guard, their wands held steady. The carefully orchestrated chaos, the staged accidents, the chilling whispers of the Centenary Jaguar – all of it had unraveled like a poorly woven tapestry under the sharp gaze of Amanda and Emiliano.

"It's over," Emiliano breathed, his voice a mixture of exhaustion and relief. He leaned against a pillar, his analytical mind finally allowed to cease its frantic calculations. The intricate deceptions, the illusions designed to mimic the fury of a mythical beast, had been brilliant, terrifyingly so. But they were just that – illusions.

Amanda looked around at the faces of her schoolmates, still wide-eyed with a residual fear that was slowly giving way to understanding. The legend, so potent and ancient, had been twisted, weaponized. "He wanted us to be afraid," she said softly, her gaze fixed on the subdued figure of the associate. "He wanted us to turn on each other, to doubt the purity of our magic."
