The weight of victory, though sweet, pressed heavily upon Katja. The crimson moon, once a beacon of her power, now seemed to cast a melancholic glow upon the city. New Orleans, her beloved domain, breathed around her, a symphony of whispers and shadows, a testament to her enduring reign. Gregor had vanished from her life as suddenly as he had appeared, and she had never learned his fate.
