Chapter 7
The Clash of Clans
Roric's true intentions are exposed as he attempts to seize control. Lyra and Kaelen must unite their clans, their newfound alliance forged in the face of a common enemy. The Whisker Wars reach their peak.
The air in the Valley of Whispers, usually so soft it felt like a mother's purr against the fur, had grown taut, thrumming with an uncharacteristic tension. Lyra recognized the hunger in those eyes, a hunger that went beyond mere resources. It was a hunger for power.
Elder Maeve, her ancient fur the colour of moonlight, stood beside Lyra, her paw resting lightly on her daughter's shoulder. "The tide turns, little one," she murmured, her voice a low rumble of wisdom. "But sometimes, the greatest storms are born from within."
