Whiskers confronts the feline leaders, advocating for peace. Rex makes his stand, siding with the dogs and Whiskers’ vision.
The Grand Hall of the Celestial Claw, usually a symphony of purrs and the rustle of silken robes, was now a tense silence, broken only by the ragged breaths of the assembled feline aristocracy. Sunlight, filtered through stained-glass depictions of legendary cat heroes, cast kaleidoscopic patterns on the polished obsidian floor. At the dais, Lady Seraphina, her tail twitching with barely suppressed irritation, surveyed the gathered dignitaries. Her emerald eyes, usually sparkling with aristocratic disdain, were narrowed, fixed on the lone figure standing before them. Whiskers, his fur slightly disheveled from his journey, stood tall, his gaze unwavering, a stark contrast to the usual subservient posture of a commoner.
Behind him, a contingent of dogs, their loyalty etched onto their stoic faces, formed a silent, formidable wall. Commander Rex, his massive frame a shadow of authority, stood slightly apart, his gaze sweeping the hall with a vigilance that spoke of a mind constantly assessing threats. Yet, there was a subtle shift in his posture, a rigidity that hinted at an internal conflict.
"You dare to stand before us, Whiskers?" Lady Seraphina's voice, usually a honeyed purr, now dripped with venom. "A mere servant, to interrupt the deliberations of the High Council?"
